Grounded freestyle courses are personally designed to take up and coming snowboarders to their next level. We believe freestyle progression and having fun always exist in parallel…. the courses aim to push riders towards fulfilling their untapped potential while always maintaining our emphasis on having fun!
GFC was set up by David Seeley in 2009 to carry on the work of the McNab Junior Development camps. The camps were started back in 2002 by Neil McNab, Keith McIntosh and David Seeley to provide young up and coming snowboarders with coaching to help develop their riding to highest level.
Grounded Freestyle Coaching now offers a wide range of freestyle courses from our Development program through to one on one coaching in all aspects of freestyle. To ensure the highest quality coaching we have a high coach to pupil ratio. This enables us to cater to the specific needs of each student and therefore maximising their development. The modern snowboarder needs to be complete, good in all aspects of the sport. Therefore we aim to improve all areas of the campers snowboarding from kickers, rails and pipe to free riding. Our belief is that by building up good riding technique it gives the student the perfect platform to fulfill their riding potential. The coaching will include the use of video analysis, mental rehearsal techniques, goal setting and bio mechanics.
With snowboarding become an Olympic sport the importance of snowboarders to train and eat properly is becoming much greater. GFC can offer fitness and dietary programs for anyone who requests them.
